Honestly very few people were putting out "far right" style content before 2015; it was still very niche, plus racism and sexism was still part of the "lefty" overton window to the point reddit was allowing it on the front page. i think Null even says he didn't really know of Sam Hyde beyond the "mass shooter" meme when he finally interviewed Marky and he only did that because of the fishtank thread showing that this sector was something worth paying attention to.

exactly, Jim's output since 2020 has been so small that you could easily say most of his fans are in their 30s now, while most of the vtuber fans tend to be younger, but either way they're extremely popular because it gets rid of a major hurtle for streamers, which is looking good. If you've ever looked up radio personalities most of them are ugly as shit, but because they have the voice and especially the charisma it doesn't matter. Vtubers are just radio hosts with subway surfers-esque slop to keep zoomers attention.
Its why when everyone shittalks women streamers they go after their looks or their bad content, but the only point of attack for vtubers is the "pedo" accusation, same way you couldn't call Stern boring in the 90s.
I'll admit entirely that the amount of entertaining women i've encountered online has skyrocketed compared to a decade ago and without fail most of them didn't rely on looks to get attention. most vtubers are fugly as shit, but they're also way better at actually being entertaining vs the usual twitch whores.

Even with everything i noted Japan is like the #1 destination for weirdos, so the waitlist to teach english over there is absurd, you'll have to do a few years somewhere else just to show you're a good enough teacher to go over there. My cousin teaches in japan and he still needed a few years in other countries working with the same company before they'd let him in japan and he's in a rural area getting paid fuck all. Not that it matters to him, but its fairly obvious teaching in japan, especially where he is, is on par with retail jobs or working at a resturant. its something for people in their 20s to experience and move on from. You can't live on that wage or start a family or own a house. Its something for you to experience and monkey branch over to something else on.
