For those that don't know the story, back in 2020 when Hololive EN and VTubers in general started taking off in the West, Brittney Venti, one of the more popular commentators in the anti-SJW/dissident right sphere, made a bunch of Tweets and videos calling out VTubers, particularly Gawr Gura. Her rhetoric was very similar to a lot of the things Josh is currently saying, calling VTubers pedobaiters, calling their fans manchildren and pedophiles, etc...

Brittney Venti proceeded to get mocked by every corner of the Internet, to the extent that it pretty much destroyed her career. She will forever be known as the e-girl who got jealous of an anime shark girl.

If Null and Kiwi Farms decide to declare Total VTuber Death, the same will likely happen to them. While VTubers are cringe and their fans are annoying simps, VTubers are ultimately harmless and the anti-VTuber crowd is just as annoying, if not worse than the VTuber stans.

exactly, Jim's output since 2020 has been so small that you could easily say most of his fans are in their 30s now, while most of the vtuber fans tend to be younger, but either way they're extremely popular because it gets rid of a major hurtle for streamers, which is looking good.
