There's a scientific explanation for it but I'm not going to give a long explanation why this is in such a way, long story short, left wing types are higher in harm avoidance and egalitarian ethos traits, all forms of shunning, bullying or harassment are inherently harmful and reinforce the social hierarchy.

You have to understand that humans are political animals and anything that is basically social will eventually interject with politics.
