I mean, there were always funny memes making fun of India like "Superpower by 2030", "Designated Shitting Streets", and "Poo In The Loo". However, in the past year or two, India discourse has evolved from funny memes about the poor living conditions in India into making them the scapegoat for everything that inconveniences them.
