After 2 minutes of looking into it I've learned the majority of gender affirming procedures for people under 18 is used to affirm the sex they were born with (ie correcting lagging puberty hormonally). Nah all the trans I know say they knew what they were when they were 5. This is a thing that happens across countries and cultures regardless of internet access or social acceptance. There really are just people born in the wrong body and it's terrible to not help them.
