Whether or not he had anything, the look from the thread in the moment was that he was leaning on the threat of having something. That was the moment at which the scales started to tip against him, even if said threat was completely empty.

I also remember people trying to dogpile you more than they did Pestpoom, even if his initially inviting people into the club was ultimately more substantial.

It's also a pretty good indicator that they have no life.
