KF was only sustainable because for a long time it used to be sane. But now that it's insanely far-right its gonna collapse. I have never seen a far-right site last for long. Remember voat, that attempt at a right-wing reddit alternative?
And they all have the same problem: the userbase has a very narrow range of interests. For all reddit's issues, I can go there and find a community for niche anime, or retro Nickelodeon, or whatever else. Voat was all-politics, all the time. So is Kiwifarms now, as much as they pretend they aren't. People said it was annoying SSJ_Ness would make gaming threads political, but even after his ban most of the userbase does that anyway.
