To be honest I suspect this focus on the UK is precisely because they don't want to talk about America right now, because let's be honest, this continuing shutdown thing (even though even Yahoo News blames it on the Democrats) is still making people not like Trump.

I find it especially ironic in the case of Freedomtoons because they once made a Government Shutdown joke where they said "the real tragedy is that they opened it back up again!" I have the feeling that joke would not land the same right now.

Many conservatives don't want to admit the 25 state laws requiring age verification use exactly the same infrastructure the dystopian UK Online Safety Act uses for compliance. Same companies, same requirements for biometric or ID tie-ins.

Here is what I think is going to happen by 2026 and beyond for the GOP and for the American Right in general.

In my opinion, I think the MAGA movement will become a dead political movement, the Dissident Right will become a dead end political movement, and the GOP goes back to the more moderate party and government policies long after Trump is gone. MAGA was a scam and the American Right will have to reevaluate its priorities.

The GOP-lead states pushing for stupid shit like ID verification laws for the Internet has proven themselves to be very unpopular ideas. After the UK Online Safety Act was enacted in the UK (which got people arrested over edgy memes) has made people become very skeptical of ID laws for the Internet in general in seeing the UK quickly becoming a pariah state because of the idiocy caused by both Labour and the Tories (because mean tweets somehow are a bigger priority for the UK government than third worlders causing trouble due to the UK government being nanny state cucks).

Stupid shit like ID laws for the Internet is just one of the many unpopular ideas being pushed by state level Republicans. The main issue with the GOP right now is the state level GOP boomers that are still stuck in the 1950's and are tone deaf with what Americans really want. Most Americans don't care about petty culture war issues like Evolution being taught in schools. Most Americans just want cheaper groceries and the GOP has so far failed to deliver on this (because the retarded tariffs and dumb culture war shit like porn on the Internet isn't going to put food on the table).

I think even Trump himself has given up on MAGA and will just get rich off his 2nd Term in office and then the GOP largely goes back to how it was before Trump. Don't believe me? It's happening right now.

After the Tucker Calrson interview with Nick Fuentes, many high profile Republicans (including Mike Johnson) denounced the Dissident Right with some calling for those associated with the Dissident Right to be purged from the GOP. The Heritage Foundation (responsible for Project 2025) is now a sinking ship because the president of the Heritage Foundation committed the carnal sin in politics by playing filthy fence sitter in defending Tucker Carlson which has caused both Jewish and Evangelical donors to leave the Heritage Foundation in boatloads now. The recent special elections also show that the GOP has to start listening to Americans again because even with Trump in office they can still lose badly to the Democrats in 2026 and beyond.

To show that MAGA is dying, even Trump threw shade at the potential guaranteed JD Vance ticket and implied that Marco Rubio (a Latino) may be the GOP nominee for the 2028 presidential election instead. So the future of the GOP may not even be white anymore but brown instead. If Trump was pro-white Christian nationalist at some point then he's definitely given up on this idea now as he's willing to let Latinos and Indians take over the GOP long after he is gone.

Trump won't be able to run again in 2028 as the U.S. Constitution prohibits this for sitting presidents and so to me it seems like the GOP will likely switch back to more moderate conservative policies with this time Latinos and Indians taking over the GOP by that point.

As far as I'm concerned, MAGA is as dead as the Tea Party movement.

The way I see it; MAGA will likely become a dead gay boomer movement and will become another footnote of American history (just like the Tea Party movement and the Know Nothings Party movement), the Dissident Right will die out (or at least remain confined to the Internet and never going anywhere) as the GOP rejects the Dissident Right over its antisemitism and violent extremism (because most of the GOP is still overwhelmingly pro-Israel), and the GOP will likely be taken over by Indians and Latinos as the party will likely no longer be the face for White Christian America anymore and do away with many of Trump's protectionist policies after 2028. The whole White Christian Nationalist MAGA shit will most likely fade out from the public lexicon (and from conservative politics in general) by the time the 2028 elections come around.

I haven't been that much on the farms in a while and truth be told I haven't paid much attention to Welper because there's nothing left to be said about the fat Mormon that thinks Joseph Smith did nothing wrong in sexually assaulting minors in the name of religion when he was alive.

Also, this will sound dumb but at this point literately the only way for Trump to save his presidency and prevent the GOP from losing seats next year is if Trump and the GOP collectively legalize weed on a federal level.

I think even Trump knows the American Right is in deep shit (especially after the GOP took a huge beating in those special elections) and he needs a big win to make everyone forget about his mistakes for a while. Trump's approval ratings is also down the toilet so he needs a big win to save the American Right from certain defeat big time.

Legalizing marijuana is literately the only thing that can save him and the GOP now because Trump and the GOP are pretty much screwed unless they take evasive action and win back American voters.
