I don't think Jersh is fully lying because even a small operation does cost money.
You got to think about the hardware costs, you got to think about the electricity costs, you got to think about any off-site storage, you got to think about backups (the more backups you have the better), you got to think about storage space for larger files like videos and images, you got to think about security for your users and for yourself, you got to think about hosting, the list goes on.
It wasn't that long ago that Jersh had to resort to using a backup on a NAS to run Kiwi Farms when his main copy started to fail due to hardware issues. The real question isn't the cost of hosting Kiwi Farms (I can forgive any website owner that makes these complaints because running a website of any size will always costs some hefty dough to keep it online); the real question for me is what the fuck is he using the thousands of dollars donated to him that was meant to be used for the forum but the money disappears into who knows where? (My bet is him importing some expensive cheeses from Europe or something.) That's the question that should be asked. If much of the money that is donated to him isn't being reinvested back into Kiwi Farms then where is it really going exactly?

Can we talk more about Null's donations? i'll be honest i think its bullshit, either that or there are people donating more than $20 and that counts as multiple donations towards the 600 goal.
330 people donating should mean like 1/3rd of the userbase should have a nice shiny gold badge next to their name. but that doesn't really happen. in fact even now, even in the most Null worshipping threads its rare to find an entire page of posts with all gold badges

Null has disobeyed the very cardinal rule his forum has listed: touching the poop. He has done this with CWC. He inserted himself between the BPD hoes and Turkey Tom and for that he suffered the most. Just recently he was trying to do the same with iDubbbz' wife Anisa by appearing in her stream. A really shitty case of "rules for thee but not for me"

Why?
There was more to Cancer than what things appeared to be on the surface. A staff person served as mediator to mend fences that I was having with him and recommended restoring his local mod position. He expressed a genuine interest in wanting to help the forum and for a while it seemed that things were going okay. He was later on made a global mod. However it was only later on that his true intentions came out that he had wanted to convince me to temporarily step back from the forum and he and the rest of the staff would step in. It was a clever tactic to brainwash the rest of the staff.
He tried to persuade other staff members that my outside developers were intentionally cheating me and that he was just as knowledgeable as they were. He wanted me to fire them. This along with wanting me to step back from the forum for about 3 months raised red flags.
He later messaged me privately that he did not know any coding. Against my better judgement he was granted some admin powers on the forum though he never had access to the server. He gave his assurances that I would not regret it. There was a thread on him that I had hidden in the vault. There was not anything in the thread that he did not know about but he felt this was some kind of blackmail I was holding over his head. The ironic thing was that he was the main contributor to the thread.
He did help with some new themes and I wanted to show my appreciation by sending him a $35 walmart gift card by email to help pay his telephone bill which he received.
When he did not get his way with the thread he left in a hurry and mentioned everything had been settled. Something did not look right and I checked the admin logs. And yes just as I suspected he went through the forum on a deleting rampage to try and destroy the forum and the community. He deleted his account and ran back to Kiwifarms thinking somehow he had scored some kind of victory destroying the Onionfarms community and that this would somehow raise his status there.
I reached out and contacted my developer to restore a backup. It may take a little while to get a response because there is a 10 hour time difference between Rhode Island and Pakistan. I have backups on a daily basis so it was restored within several hours.
