Another fun bit is that he's so paranoid he does everything himself. other people running websites like the stormfront guys or other censored people seem to be able to maintain websites with way bigger userbases and content because they know how to talk and treat people.
Podawful goes after much richer people than Null and his anti-indian bullshit, but despite being an internet criminal he's managed to stay afloat and have a wife and great life and studio and be able to do shows in front of a camera because he's not some crazy fucker who feels the need to double down anytime some makes them look like an ass.

That Sacramento BPD woman's retraction letter against TurkeyTom was 100% written by Tom's lawyer and then they made her post it on her social media. It's a hostage letter. Because Tom's lawyer crisis team was undoubtedly threatening to sue her. It's just Tom trying to damage control and save his own skin to shut her up. But this is not a defense of her. I can dislike both parties and no binary thinking needs to be involved. I don't need to fluff Tom to spite Josh or vice versa.
Also it's pretty funny that people told Josh that Turkey Tom monetized his own forum far better than he ever could. And Josh's response was to beg for $20 per month from each user forever.

Yeah, something's not adding up with the KF expenses. He was a fool to allow all these lawsuits to build up and not coming up with a solution to avoid having to defend against all of them. But he thinks he can just run a fundraiser for each thing that comes up. He might have a secret vice like meth or gambling that is burning all the money. Or some woman draining all his money. It just seems the more he makes, the more he cries out for needing even more. It's a paradox. It doesn't make sense.

Depending on what kind of deal he has (and considering how piss poor he is at general life management), the vig could be killing him.

I use outside contractors for specific projects/repairs, not to keep the site running. The monthly hosting fee is $358. Security is another $100. Outside contractors work out to $15 to $30/hour.

We have the most up to date server that was freshly built. We have daily backups on and off site. We could expand to 5 times our size and still have enough room. The time it was down for days was because the web hosting provider was also down. That was totally beyond my control.

I don't think Jersh is fully lying because even a small operation does cost money.
You got to think about the hardware costs, you got to think about the electricity costs, you got to think about any off-site storage, you got to think about backups (the more backups you have the better), you got to think about storage space for larger files like videos and images, you got to think about security for your users and for yourself, you got to think about hosting, the list goes on.
It wasn't that long ago that Jersh had to resort to using a backup on a NAS to run Kiwi Farms when his main copy started to fail due to hardware issues. The real question isn't the cost of hosting Kiwi Farms (I can forgive any website owner that makes these complaints because running a website of any size will always costs some hefty dough to keep it online); the real question for me is what the fuck is he using the thousands of dollars donated to him that was meant to be used for the forum but the money disappears into who knows where? (My bet is him importing some expensive cheeses from Europe or something.) That's the question that should be asked. If much of the money that is donated to him isn't being reinvested back into Kiwi Farms then where is it really going exactly?
