Why does think promoting the lesser known knowledge that Vivek was born to an elite class of Indians hurt him? It's like a nerd berating Chad for being genetically gifted.
To be fair to Josh, he honestly is right in this situation.
He thinks it hurts him because it does, it flips his narrative from self-made anti-woke outsider to born into an ultra-privileged, hereditary status system.
Like, if people start associating you with highest-caste upbringing, servants, separate doors, you don't come across like some regular dude who grinded his way up, you look like someone who grew up in hierarchy and entitlement.
It's honestly not a good look, especially if your whole brand is shitting on identity politics and elite culture.
The idea that rich people didn't work hard and their wealth is entirely unearned or undeserved is rooted in communism and jealously. The fact is Josh doesn't like Vivek because he's Indian. What he criticizes Vivek for he could've also criticized Trump for. "Rich kid," "spoiled," "draft dodger," etc.
Well that's obviously a part of it but he still does give valid criticisms.
If Vivek were Irish/Italian/whatever and the allegation was that he was born into a rigid inherited status system with servants, the criticism would be the same.

Most millionaires and billionaires in America are actually self-made, the people that inherited their vast wealth in America are in the minority.
A lot of the millionaires and billionaires that you see in America today are mostly new money; you still have old money families like the Rockefellers and the Trumps that clearly have a lot of power in America but nowhere near the same level of monetary influence like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, or Jeff Bezos (the last three individuals I listed are clearly new money but they have far more influence in world affairs than the old money families).
So yes, Jersh is becoming an unironic commie because most people aren't willing to humor his bullshit.
