The frustrating reality is that if GOP is in power, legal immigrants will be treated little more than inconsequential collateral damages in the process of wiping out illegals, and if DNC is in power, they will just give more indirect resources to keep illegals, which take away resources that were paid to service legal immigrants

Well at least with dems legal immigrants won't have to worry about the POTUS signing random shits under the Sun that will very likely risk their status. The problem with the US immigration laws is that they fall under executive branch, and ICE can bypass otherwise afforded constitutional rights such as speedy trial or rights-to-attorney by deporting them just with accusations without convictions.
