The only reason Null hasn't tried to do anything more than give them pink triangles and thumbnail their images is because he knows they'd wage total war against KF and win.

That was one of my first thoughts. Either legit health issue, which could be an accident, pulled something, sick, whatever. Or like a relationship thing/attention getting moment if there's drama.
