You attack some external group or single target to rally your troops and strengthen their bonds for the in-group (KF). It lets the in-group feel morally righteous and purposeful like you are accomplishing something. The sad reality is that it's just a purity-spiral witchunt. No one is actually pure enough to survive the witchburning, especially not the dear leader Josh with his extensive online Blocklands past. The anime-avatars bullied Josh for years so he hates them all and has PTSD from even seeing anime cause he associates that with people bullying him for scamming 12K from 8chan. It also hurts badly when your website is irrelevant and gets little buzz but people use it for their own content to get rich like TurkeyTom. It stings when you gotta watch Vtubers make Kirsche and Gura/Saba (who just got doxxed today on KF btw) make boatloads of money pandering to lolicons. So it feels rewarding to attack the Vtubers out of spite and sour grapes. And there's decent overlap between the Vtubers and lolicons so you lump them all together as "anime-people" and attack them.

So when your website is irrelevant and bleeds out users every month (and you ban dozens per week), what can you do to pump engagement so you can keep getting dono's and sit on your ass and not have to work? You insert the KF everywhere, into everything trending trying to jump on topics like a tick on a dog. And you attack a couple scapegoats to keep the in-group together. When they attack the out-group, they are not infighting and tearing each other to shreds. Ultimately, most KF'ers can't help themselves as they've been whipped up into a moral panic in a purity spiral. So they will attack each other and dox each other and turn themselves into the content. It's kind of like the movie "The Thing" where there is a dangerous alien they call "The Thing" that can mimic humans' appearances and a group of people are trapped in a snowy building with "The Thing." The alien could be any of them but it looks just like a human so they are walking around with a flamethrower (just like the flames of a witchburning) trying to hunt down The Thing. The paranoia goes through the roof and consumes the entire group as they accuse each other of being The Thing. The KF'ers all have skeletons in their closets so any of them could be Vtuber fans or lolicons or anime fans.

So right now, Josh points to the lolicons and thinks it's a slam dunk target cause "Won't someone please think of the children?" (that are not real and fictional characters, which is akin to playing GTA and running people over in the car in a video game). But Josh is not campaigning to stop portraying fantasy violence in video games, movies, or tv shows bc there is no one he is jealous of that is making millions of dollars like Kirsche or Saba so he's not going to pretend to be outraged against these topics.

I dunno that sounds a little Jewish to me, very few groups actually define themselves by otherizing some external actor.
Accusations of demonizing others is just a way for the criticized to dehumanize critics, who would exclude or castigate bad behavior.

Personally I think there's a struggle in communities online that I've noticed since I was a young man on 420chan, and that's the back and forth between some users wanting porn, some users not wanting porn, and the jannies wanting to deal with none of it. Tranime is a natural enemy of everyone who doesn't want porn because it becomes the outlet for erotic images when porn gets banned.

Some things about Geopolitics never change though.

The United States is considered the most individualist and freest country on the planet but it's a country not without sin either. If you know your Cold War history, America backed human rights violators to counter communism and the Soviet Union. The Western world backed people like Augusto Pinochet (Chile), Juan Peron (Argentina), and Alfredo Strossner (Paraguay) in the late-20th century because at the time they were the lesser of two evils because the alternative for latin america would be communism (America would literately support any dictatorship back in the day if they hated commies).

It's the same with Israel. I don't deny that Israel commits its share of war crimes against the Palestinians (can't argue with that) and Israel is given a lot of American taxpayer money for their things like their Iron Dome system; but the alternative for the Middle East is letting Islamic terrorist groups be left to their own devices causing chaos around the world. Why does America support Benjamin Netanyahu bombing hospitals and killing Palestinian children? Same reasons America supported Pinochet throwing commies off helicopters where those commies plunged to their deaths into the Pacific Ocean. Geopolitics has always been one big Chess board where there's hardly any room for ethics unfortunately. I don't like it either but this is how warfare has always been.

As for El Salvador, crime still happens there (it's a third-world country) but gangs like MS-13, 18th Street Gang, various Mexican cartels, and others of the like now avoid El Salvador like the plague because none of them want to rot in that supermax prison for their rest of their lives. Who knew that being tough on crime means a much safer country.

I tend to be skeptical of historical descriptions of really old events, just knowing how much people lie or twist or get simple stuff wrong. Like they say Egyptian pharaohs and mummies had red hair but I've also heard this was a dye or change from the mummification process. Well. If that's the case who was the girl he brought on his podcast? What was going on with the watermelon incident where null told drip to stop freaking out over them?
