Contra has made millions and his hate thread barely gets posts on it meaning he has effectively "won"
this is what i mean, most of the lolcows that eventually get taken down by the kiwifarms (by being where people can post their info like say all the revenge porn or CPS reports they're involved in) are barely bigger or as notable as even modern day contra,Only a small fringe of leftists are watching ContraPoints.
and managed to very effectively decrease her content
a great example is looking at her contemporaries from 2016 on patreon.
Contra can keep going and as long as onionfarms doesn't suddenly get huge one day they'll be safe from criticism forever
"Joanne seems not much comforted even by the fact that, politically, she won. In the UK and the US, trans rights are in retrograde. But if winning doesn't bring happiness, maybe losing doesn't necessarily have to bring misery. I am basically a trans-pessimist at this point. I simply do not have the hope I used to have of living to see social and political acceptance. And that makes whatever arguments I may have won on this topic feel pretty hollow. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in a stage of constant impotent rage. I simply refuse to do that. I don't think that means completely giving up on politics. Sometimes opportunities will come along to nudge society in a slightly less horrendous direction, and I think those opportunities are worth taking. But I also think there is no shame in becoming more detached. Misery is not activism. Your misery helps no one. Many people throughout history have lived fulfilling lives under far worse conditions, so, you know, live it up while you can. It can always be worse."
so what's ya been doing this last couple months? did you have a boyfriend you were paying attention to?
"[Nyk] could not hold a conversation to save [his] life. I wanted to talk about philosophy and ideas, but I had to fight tooth and nail for something to come out of [his] face. And then I started to realize, oh, like, these people don't know how to have a conversation without a script. And I was, like, OK, so you video essayists are people who don't socialize. Youtubers are genuinely introverted. So [Nyk] is nervous, anxious, genuinely like a shy person. He's not a bad person, he's a shy person. And this happened to be with content creator after content creator. I'm, like, "Do we wanna talk?", and nobody can have a conversation with me. I don't script my videos. I touch grass.
I read contrapoints' post. I have a lot of thoughts nd will make a video response probably tomorrow. It's not gna be a dunking video. But yeah, I'm bitter. If you read it and have thoughts lemme know, maybe I'll include it in vid.

Contrapoints is a centrist who has contempt for left-wing activism. She spends five times as many words on her disdain for the left than she does on her opposition to genocide.
She takes a “both sides” approach to genocide when Israel is involved. She believes in Israeli exceptionalism. Israel is special. We should just let Israel do what it wants. Palestinians, on the other hand, are less than human. They deserve what they get.
Contrapoints postures as an opponent of oppression. She pontificates about intersectionality - the interactions between multiple axes of oppression such as sex, race, religion, and class. In reality her interest in oppression is purely performative, exclusively aesthetic. The most documented genocide in world history has been unfolding before our eyes for two years now. She doesn’t talk about it for two years except to pop up now and then to accuse the left of antisemitism, even though antisemitism is predominantly a Nazi phenomenon, not part of the left’s activism. It’s clear she thinks this genocide is not worth addressing because she is an “enlightened” centrist, above the fray, above such base things as activism or basic humanity.
Maybe she doesn’t like this issue because she can’t make it about herself. But somehow in that statement she released she succeeded in doing just that.
