I think at this point we can collectively agree that 'muh-Think of the Children' is a midwit argument used to justify authoritarianism.
The UK's Online Safety Act has been a mega disaster for the UK to the point where the britbongs now have to use Tor and VPNs just to access the the rest of the Internet and for many UK tech firms it's the final straw for them to make the decision to finally move their operations to America due to the UK's already burdensome regulations. Countries like the UK that often use 'muh-Think of the Children' as a argument to police the Internet usually end up becoming pariah states because their extreme devotion to a political ideology ends up destroying human rights within their own jurisdictions.
And somehow Kiwi Farms thinks they're any better when a lot of them want ID verification for the Internet and not realize this would in turn make America into a pariah state just like China, Russia, and more recently the UK.
I do agree that society has the obligation to protect children from society's most dangerous individuals but this should never come at the cost of sacrificing human rights to achieve this.
To quote Benjamin Franklin, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." The less sexy aspect about Freedom is the responsibility that comes with it and if you're that willing to have the government fulfill your personal responsibilities on your behalf then you deserve being in the gulag for being stupid by surrendering your rights to the government. Sloth is considered a capital sin for a reason.

Even me as a right-winger, I've always found the Moral Majority Republicans to be retards. Why? Because their policies were always unpopular, especially with younger people.
When I was a much younger lad, everyone saw George W. Bush and the GOP at the time as the uncool old people. George W. Bush was a NeoCon warhawk that started wars, the Religious Right wanted to impose theocracy in the United States, and the GOP were tone deaf when it came to how to approach society's social issues where often they think Christianity is the only solution to everything. These political positions became very unpopular throughout the 2000's which is why America got eight years of Obama because Obama and the progressive wave we saw throughout the late-2000's and the early-2010's was a response to the idiocy from the GOP and Dubya at the time.
The Moral Majority Republicans were unpopular retards then an they're unpopular retards now. What a lot of Rightoids always seem to fail to understand is that the United States was not founded on collectivist authoritarianism but on individualist freedom. America has its problems but for much of its history it has put the freedom of the individual first before any collectivist nonsense.
So when you see retarded Moral Majority Republicans push for mass surveillance for the Internet, push for non-secular religious teaching being taught in public schools, and pushing for more restrictions on media (like porn or video games) then no shit you're going to lose voters to the opposition.
To be fair, at least the GOP on a federal level have finally get it. The Trump administration and Congressional Republicans using funny memes and video games and anime and such to appeal to voters does show that the GOP on a federal level are being less hostile towards America's youth and I think this is a good thing because this shows the GOP on a federal level has evolved. But the state level Republicans are still stuck in the 1950's and they're laughably out of touch with young Americans that want to see more positive changes for America.
If the American Right wants to win in the long term, they should look at both Japan and Argentina as models on how to be a right-winger and not lose in elections. Japan is a pretty conservative country that has voted for the Right for most of its post-WW2 history because the LDP knows better than to piss off younger voters (now and days even the LDP supports the anime and manga industries and they support free speech for Japan's pop culture media). Argentina did away with Peronism and now Argentina is on the path of economic recovery and with Javier Milei doing away with state sponsored censorship has made Argentina an actual free country now.
If the GOP wants to win in the long term then they should adopt the playbooks that Japan's LDP uses and Argentina's Libertarian Party uses to stay in power and to actually win culture war battles. For any ideology to stay relevant, you need young people to adopt it. If young people reject your ideology then your political party will lose.
Japan and Argentina at least get it because they know it's political suicide to piss off young people. At least the GOP on a federal level is starting to understand this but I feel like it's going to take several more devastating loses for state level Republicans to finally understand that they have to start listening to young people because they cannot keep relying on the retarded religious boomers forever (especially as those in the boomer generation are reaching their death beds because they're not getting any younger).
Javier Milei is popular with young people in Argentina because he doesn't do anything to make life harder for younger people. Japan's LDP has been in power for a long time because they are a party of pragmatism and they don't do anything to piss off young Japanese voters. It's time that the state level Republicans have to understand the same if they don't want to lose to the Left in the long term.

I have a Love-Hate relationship with Nintendo.
I love Nintendo for being one of the most influential companies in the video game industry. They are trend setters where much of the video game industry as we know it can be credited to Nintendo. Say what you want about Nintendo's consoles an their IPs but how Nintendo approached video games over the years shaped the video game industry into what it is today. There's a reason why when people think of Mario they also think of the happy-go-lucky plumber also being a symbol that saved the video game industry from the brink of extinction after the 1983 video game crash.
But I also hate Nintendo for how they abuse copyright, IP, and patent laws to bully away competition and be complete dicks towards their own fans.
Nintendo is super infamous for being lawsuit happy because they also have delusions of grandeur where they think the universe revolves around them.
Although more recently Nintendo is now losing their legal battles against Palworld because both the Japanese and American governments are now starting to question if Nintendo even has the full rights to beast catching mechanics for video games (a video game mechanic that existed long before Nintendo became a video game company) with the American government now wanting to revoke Nintendo's patent claim over this.
So it puts a smile on my face to see Nintendo lose in the legal stuff every time they're being assholes and have Nintendo be humbled whenever they fly too close to the Sun.

I don't see much of a future for the right in it's current form. They refuse to acknowledge the economy and the next generation are Fuentes-types who just hate Israel, browns and women, and that third part is going to mean all the sexually successful/married men are going to get turned off by what's happening and either join the left or not support the right.
I've already seen a number of otherwise right wing accounts start pandering to women because they got tired of the incels in their audience.
