I just realized at least 3 users on KF have died in this year, two of which from suicide (Gehenna from seemingly natural causes and Cats and BrunoMattei offing themselves).

Kiwi Farms wasn't created by Null, if you didn't know. It was created by another user named champthom who quit as admin and left it up to a community vote who would take over. HHH won said vote but let Null take over since he had no interest in running a forum.

I'm aware but that's so long ago the distinction isn't really significant anymore.

It is a terrible change. What the hell was he thinking alongside the autists who liked it? It's much more of a mess, back then you can just go to a thread and ctrl+f to access it as a shortcut. And it just looks disorganized.
Sure there's watched threads but if you haven't put it on your watched threads and it's buried, you'll have to contend with the search which was sometimes slow and it brought up irrelevant results depending on the thread subjects.

Also as someone who joined KF in the mid 10's it's interesting how Null himself and the forum culture changed over the years. At the very least Null learned how to not call someone a nigger or tell them to consider suicide, for better or for worse. I'd say worse because it's actually funny telling other people complaining to him to neck themselves.

And back then shitposting is encouraged but it slowly dwindled down until posting of lolcow threads is formalized. Dedicated subforums about shitposting are now once in a while where you can spam or post crap to no end, usually only when there's an IRL large occasion like Christmas. Back then there was that Gamergate HQ and Edgeville, the second one I wasn't able to see by the time I signed up.
 
His weird obsession with the Lolcow section is counter-intuitive and downright runs against his self-stated goals of growing the forum and having a "free Internet".
I use his forum for the offtopic section, where I can discuss media, literature, sports, business, lifestyle topics, etc without faggot rainbows, nigger worship or language policing being forced on me. I don't give a single fuck about Chantal, Cobes, BMJ, Rekieta or any other fat, gross, retarded faggot the userbase likes to pretend they're better than. Apparently, thinking that while being an otherwise non-disruptive user is offensive to Josh.

The biggest growth spurts the forum has seen have been from "offtopic" happenings. I doubt most people sign up to participate in "Gorl Tawk" about fat retards.

I guess you can say that they changed the way they channel their anger. Back then if people want to sperg over and over on a thread because they think the thread is shit or OP is shit and it would be allowed. Right now I can see that there's a moral reason or obligation and things are handed in a much more 'proper' in a way. If you've known about Daddy O'Five they let Dynastia and I think alongside some few other people clog up the thread and it was only until Null that decided that Daddy O'Five is a lolcow because of DFEing, not because of his child abuse, amusingly.

If that happens now the users doing that will be threadbanned and pink triangled as well as negrated. And I beg to differ for Null. I think he's more angrier back then because he calls everyone niggers and tells everyone to fuck off literally if you look at the takedown request responses from him back then vs now.

The political and news threads are always full of assmad users though, I'm confident that hasn't been changed.

But indeed the whole mental environment on farms have become more erratic, unhinged even. Site is overfilled with misery and rattlesnake backstabbing routine these days, there's no community, no encouragement of civil behavior. No, there's only soastic screeching, powerleveling and shitting on anyone who have ever so slightly different opinion than autist right next to you.
Reddit comparison stems from it for a reason.

Null says that the only way he'd publicly show ban reasons is if he added a 10$ price tag to registrations, because it would be funnier to him if he banned someone who gave him money. He also gets mad at a user for saying the chat is dead and doesn't need to exist anymore, despite admitting that the chat is dead and many other threads are ghost towns since people have lost interest in lolcows, with the furry board in particular being mostly inactive.

Lies. I'm sure those people exist but let's not pretend all of your bans are justified. Lots of people got banned for literally no reason or based on a false premise they were someone else's sock. We see this all the time. This is an ignorant Josh worldview in which he is right and has never done wrong.

Reminder that the only reason he has a group chat on the site is to try and stop users from going elsewhere to chat like Discord, Twitter, or Telegram. He can't control these places or ban you for disagreeing with him on those platforms. He wants a monopoly on speech and thought. He will lie and tell you discord is bad bc there are freaks on it. But this is an excuse; he just wants control and to be the head honcho with power that everyone has to grovel to. And to be able to shift narratives to his favor.

We must make sure that no one has a monopoly on lolcows, the sector, or speech around these things. It needs to be decentralized. Josh is a shitty moderator who constantly gets involved with the cows and then ends up running damage control for these cows, once they start getting alogged or lose the crowd favor. We've seen it with Ethan Ralph, Dick Masterson, Nick Rekieta, DSP, Metokur, CRP, PPP, Andy Warski, and probably more of his surrogate father, e-daddies that I'm forgetting. Even though Josh thinks he's the best person on this planet and only person able to run Kiwi Farms, he is not the arbiter of lolcow content. And I resent the fact that this fatass has locked threads to stop people from talking about people.

I don't know how you can look at Null doing things like banning 100+ users in a fit of rage and think he's gotten calmer.

I'm gonna check if there's a comprehensive list of people being banned for the stupidest reasons. Most I saw were labeled as nonces but then there's IKOL's case. Some are I believe are true though. And I did see someone get banned after pissing Josh off for some stupid reason but I thought this was unusual.

To be fair, SomethingAwful doesn't have anything to lose anymore as it's a dead website. It's still online but it's a ghost town now and days.

With Kiwi Farms, Jersh acts more like ResetEra where even if users don't violate ToS, they still can get banned for any bullshit reason.

The only thing missing is for Jersh to ban all third-party email providers and require you to register with a personal email only (like an email address provided by your ISP, from a college/university, or from your job) to use Kiwi Farms from that point on. It would cut down on the sock accounts and derailers but it would also make the website as restrictive as ResetEra.

I'm going off with what I saw. Who I'd be referring to is The_F00L, who poked fun of null about something back then. The farms is a huge place and and has enough people that you won't get what's going on fully if you stay on the threads you frequent. And it's not like I'm making shit up and saying things out of my ass.

EDIT: I can't find his profile anymore. I think since he was banned before Keffals happened his account might've been scrubbed. But I'm going to link this thread about Null wanting to start a family for a change and to contribute on this thread. And I concede about Null mellowing down, looking at all his posts he hasn't changed a bit and he keeps tarding out at most of his posts when responding lmao
