Either way, the theory reality is easy to follow:

Maybe its just me but I've talked to women about Alien (usually while in line at the movies whoda thunk) and my conversations number is definitely up in the double digits. Not a single woman I have ever spoken to about it has ever brought up the final scene where Ripley is in her underwear and the little t shirt. I was a part of a local film club where we were getting dozens of members each month for a while and it had the kind of woke women you might expect which meant Alien got brought up a lot as a feminist movie. None of them ever mentioned the underwear scene either.
