I had a boyfriend I met off 4chans /v/ (not joking) at GG time and we had multiple irl arguments where I called him a misogynist and slowly realized he was most likely gay. He agreed with gamergate and said the wombens were ruining gaming and he had to boycott every company ever due to women. It was highly retarded back then and still is now. If you like the games play them if you don't, don't. I'm less of a feminist lib now but I still think his super srs position on it was an overreaction.

Most gamers simply became super defensive when internet feminists were saying there's sexual stuff in video games which will make people playing it sexist.
Because gamers were often under attack for the same shit but with violence.

Hell, I remember my own mother becoming worried that I'll become a school shooter because I played a lot of Counter-Strike.
Now mothers might become worried you'll become a rapist because you play Dead or Alive or something.

Josh most people don't see CP as some moral quandary that must be navigated to the correct course and the truest answer. I would wager that the average person has never had to put thought into why CP is bad they just know it. Telling us that you think this much about why CP is wrong is telling us that you probably had to talk yourself out of viewing it.

Also y'know the implication that there is a wrong reason to hate CP like as if it didn't cause the problems Josh is describing it would be alright or something?

Agree with what you're saying, but even his first point about it creating a black market for sex trafficking is [citation needed]. Most studies show increased availability of (legal) porn is correlated with a decrease in sexual violence, including against children.

If memory serves me, he not only had staff that were open pedophiles, but they were administrators and used their tools as administrators to prevent criticism of pedophiles or the pedophile aspects of cows. I still don't understand how that is defensible.
