Null is incredibly vindictive, practically everything he's done since returning to the US has been to get even with people and groups who have tried to ruin him or personally annoy him, and he's far from the only person who thought Trump was going to go scorched earth on the left. Null is also getting older, he's almost 40. He probably didn't want to die in a foreign country.
