Kiwi Farms has always been obsessed with trannies because tranny communities are full of absolute lolcows and disturbed psychopaths, and until a few years they got very little pushback in the mainstream. So no surprise that Kiwi Farms became a place you could vent about them and laugh at how stupid they were. The only difference is that back then, there was more engagement with laughing at individual trannies like the old Rat King board or Jonathan Yaniv's subforum, but now it is just yet more politics shite. You could laugh at trannies because they lived dumpster fire lives in general, like Phil/ADF being an Antifa hobo.
The lolicon thing is new, because old Kiwi Farms never cared much other than thinking it was disgusting. Josh defended the legality of lolicon as late as 2021 and believed it was nasty shit you had to just ignore if you wanted free speech. It may be that as the site has become dominated by Josh simps, lolicon has become a popular topic because Josh is obsessed with it himself due to being a repressed shotacon and blaming lolicons for the failure of 9chan. If Josh sperged as much over furries or adult diaper lovers, I bet Kiwi Farms would be obsessing over those groups too even when all those types of communities are just indistinguishable masses of porn addicts into gross shit.
But...I do think there is a lot of shilling done on Kiwi Farms. There were a few accounts during covid which would post government talking points about how great mask mandates, lockdowns, and the vaccine was. These accounts went silent around 2022. There have been several accounts dedicated almost solely to pushing Conservative Inc and Zionist views in every politics thread. Any conversation about China is dominated by sources from literal CIA-funded outlets like Epoch Times and China Uncensored and if you argue even a reasonable stance like "China has a large enough economy and enough stolen tech they are a serious danger to the US" you have several users waiting to correct the record. So there is clearly a push to manipulate Kiwi Farms into kosher-right talking points.
