he has quite the fanbase, he's over 2k live. a big reason is his reputation, its like how Dick Masterson from the dick show got most of his fans from his maddox trolling and the dr.phil episode. Very few people listening on a weekly basis knew the lore beyond that.

That's most podcasts in general, its like how 90% of people that listen to Taylor Swift don't follow her lore. beyond that is the ride or die types like you're seeing a lot of on the farms.

most jobs allow you to listen to something too now, between that and the commute and you're bound to get fans. there's a reason podcasts in general exploded in the 2010s. its like how talk radio somehow existed for generations. people just need to hear something to stop from going insane.

2K live views don't really mean much when most of the viewers are Kiwis and the Kiwi-adjacent communities that for some reason really enjoy Jersh's stereotypical monotone gay man voice.

If you really want to see what your average Americans think of said issues, you're better off looking at people like Asmongold, Joe Rogan, and Philip DeFranco where they have much more moderate positions on issues and they don't sperg out like Jersh which is why they now have huge followings.

Even though Jersh covers the same topics that bigger content creators cover, you're not going to see your average normie watch Jersh in regards to these issues. Shit, if a normie is going to watch an edgy content creator cover the news then they're far more likely to tune in to people like Pippa or Kirsche or Metokur or Nick Fuentes (where they get far more views than Jersh's MATI streams) long before they bother with watching Jersh anyway because those people have far more charm and charisma than Jersh could ever hope to have.

People listen to Kino Casino and their shows regularly go for like 6+ hours.

I can't see how people can watch 6 hours of repetitive catchphrases and hypocritical moralfagging from two child groomers, but apparently some people just have shit taste.

There's also the issue that Josh is usually wrong about stuff. And I don't mean that he says things I disagree with, but that he can never get the facts of anything he talks about right. I used to listen to MATI regularly years ago to catch up on lolcow lore when I was more into the sektur, but stopped after a couple of months when I found out that stuff from MATI was generally wrong. I didn't even hold animosity toward Josh at that point yet, it's just that his streams were worthless as a source of information.

Whatever "researchers" KF actually has have been slacking.

On more than one occasion (and especially recently) the users on that site have posted either outdated or flat-out incorrect information about a person/place/thing with little to no proof and everyone else just takes it as face value.

His "dedicated researchers" are just normal users and staff (who were normal users he promoted) that he doesn't bother to fact check if what they say supports his world view and sometimes he doesn't even bother to check what they say at all and just makes shit up.

2k live is a lot more than most streamers get, kino casino gets about 10k, but its 2 people and they obviously had less viewers a year ago.

but for a guy who's so awful to listen to and regularly gets shit wrong and isn't entertaining and doesn't even show his face. 2k is pretty good
