Unpopular opinion but depending on how old he was I’d still find it weird even if she was 18. Not morally wrong, but questionable I guess. 50 year old men dating 18 year olds always make me instinctually assume bad intentions. It just gives off the vibes that you were “waiting”

I smashed a 19 year old when I was 38, it was because I lied and told her I was 35 and she lied and told me she was 25. By the time we both found out we already loved each other. We were together for like 6 months before we found out each other's real age.

Although I did find the idea of it revolting, especially since she was younger than my oldest son. Unfortunately she was good at gas lighting me into loving her.

I guess the moral of that story is always be upfront about how old you are.

A better question is "Why are you trying to minimize or sweep this issue away?" I'm just reporting on something interesting to me. And your characterization of Lidl leaving is not exactly how that happened. Josh didn't call all women holes; iirc he called the specific women in that Australian feminist group holes and Lidl didn't even direct her anger directly at Josh but to vague forum users that were calling women holes. A more likely explanation is that Josh read this thread, realized the gig was up and people know Lidl is him on a sock, and used the event as an excuse to retire the Lidl character before it gets fully exposed.

Because the meme mocks feminists and makes them look silly and Josh and Lidl lost the argument and melted down about it. So now the meme triggers them. What a story, kek. I remember the day I turned 18, a dude asked me “Would you still date a minor?”. I said “Uh… depends.”. I wouldn’t have mind dating a 17 year old for example, but I think one year is as much of a difference I’m personally comfortable with. Personally though, I wouldn’t judge larger ones. I remember reading a book in sophomore year where the boyfriend was 18 and the protag 16, didn’t see it as immoral to me then and I still don’t.
