I don't believe Null is smart enough to play those kinds of mind games with his audience though. I think the fascination with Teddie is the same as the fascination with Hitler, they see something of themselves in those figures or they see something admirable so they just mindlessly repeat what Teddie/Hitler said, hoping to receive wisdom.
