It's been overdue for a thread on the Russian Leader. If Kiwifarms can have one on Donald Trump, we can have one on Putin. Vladmir Putin has been going downhill and it is taking a toll on his physical and mental health. This may or may not have potential but I figure I would get the ball rolling.

His physical health may be deteriorating rapidly with him having to grip the chair support during a meeting with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel. There are rumors that he may have Parkinson's Disease and Blood Cancer.

I think he attacked to counter NATO expansion which started during the late 1990s, but occupied only those areas dominated by Russians in order to negotiate with the U.S. The latter is refusing while most countries want to remain neutral.

In Ukraine, mothers and wives of slain Russian soldiers were left furious after controversial President Vladimir Putin allegedly staged a meeting with a group of ultra-loyalist women claiming to have lost loved ones in the war. Putin is believed to have specifically chosen a group who would not complain or ask him difficult questions, while many Russian women were left heartbroken and wanting answers about their fallen relatives.

"I would like you to know that, that I personally, and the whole leadership of the country — we share your pain," the embattled politician declared at the meeting that took place at his home.

"We understand that nothing can replace the loss of a son — especially for a mother," he continued, before repeating, "We share this pain."

The Russo-Ukrainian War, which started in 2014, reached a new level in late February of this year after Russian invaded Ukraine. The number of Russian military members who have been killed in the conflict is believed to be more than 100,000 people.

During the televised meeting, Putin insisted their country "will achieve" their goals "in the end," accusing Ukraine of attempts to "devalue, [and] compromise" Russia's war tactics.

However, shortly after the conference, Russian media was quick to recognize that the alleged grieving mothers and wives that Putin met with were well known loyalists. Nadezhda Uzanova, a woman from Abakan who is a known member of patriotic group Combat Brotherhood, was identified as appearing at several other of Putin's political events. She even sang the Russian national anthem after he illegally annexed and invaded areas of Ukraine, naming them Kremlin territories.

A second woman in attendance by the name of Anna Gerusova was believed to be a wife of a military commisar and Yulia Belekhoba regularly shared her pro war views. It was even speculated that some of the women there may not have children who had served in the Russian military at all.

One woman who was not allowed at the high profile event was Olga Tsukanova, who has publicly spoken out against Putin after her 20-year-old son went missing during the war.

"Do you have enough courage to look into our eyes — openly, in a meeting with women who weren't hand-picked for you…?" she later taunted him. "Women who aren't in your pocket, but real mothers who have travelled here from different cities at their own expense, to meet with you? We are here, in Moscow, and we are ready to meet with you. We expect an answer from you. Are you going to keep hiding from us?"

Russian President Vladimir Putin fell down the stairs and soiled himself this week amid mounting speculation that his health is declining, an anti-Kremlin Telegram channel with apparent links to his security team reported. Putin, 70, suffered the unfortunate fall at his Moscow official residence on Wednesday evening, according to the Telegram channel “General SVR,” which purports to be run by a former Russian spy. The ailing Russian leader allegedly fell down five steps before landing on his coccyx, or tailbone. Although his security guards immediately rushed to his aid, the impact of the fall caused Putin to “involuntarily defecate” due to “cancer affecting his stomach and bowels,” according to the channel. The incident is the latest health scare for Putin, who is rumored to suffering from worsening cancer and Parkinson’s disease amid the ongoing war with Ukraine.

“Three bodyguards helped the president get to the nearest couch and summoned medics, who are on duty at the residence,” General SVR said.“Nothing critical [was diagnosed], the president’s condition closer to nighttime was stable, he can get around on his own, with pain in the coccyx area while sitting being the only thing that bothers him.”The post noted that a special investigation was being carried out to determine the cause of the president’s fall....

Expands a ban on “LGBTQ propaganda” in Russia: Disseminating LGBTQ related material to both children and/or adults is now illegal

Bans promoting non-heterosexual relationships as normal or praising such relationships

Heavier penalties for anyone promoting “non-traditional sexual relations and/or preferences,” as well as pedophilia and gender transition across the internet, media, books audiovisual services, cinema and advertising.

Individuals engaged in such activities can be fined up to 400,000 rubles ($6,370) for “LGBT propaganda” and up to 200,000 rubles ($3,185) for “demonstrations of LGBT and information that encourages a change of gender among teenagers.”

The Pope implies that Ukraine may just have to live with Russia gobbling up part of Ukraine's territory

Ukraine's leaders will have to be "far-sighted" to secure peace, Pope Francis said on Friday, suggesting that Kyiv would have to make concessions to end the war with Russia. The pope earlier this month called for a ceasefire to avert the risk of escalation of the conflict and asked God to "hurry up" to end it. In an open letter released on Friday to mark the nine-month anniversary of the Russian invasion, Francis praised the strength of Ukrainians in the face of the onslaught.

"The world has recognised a bold and strong people, a people that suffers and prays, cries and struggles, resists and hopes: A noble and martyred people," he wrote. He also said he was praying for Ukraine's rulers. "On them lies the duty to govern the country in tragic times and to make far-sighted decisions for peace and to develop the economy during the destruction of so much vital infrastructure."

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said last week that Ukraine was ready for peace, but only on its terms that would restore all occupied territory. In a newspaper interview also released last week, the pope said the Vatican was ready to do anything possible to mediate and put an end to the war.

The U.S. can't accept that because growing economic strength makes them move away from the dollar, which means less borrowing and spending for the states.
