Nigerian alternative R&B singer Temmie Ovwasa, popularly known as YBNL Princess, has opened up about why she maintains a strict stance toward men. During a fan Q&A session on Saturday, the openly lesbian artist revealed that her focus is on creating a lesbian-centered world in a country plagued by femicide and gender-based violence.
“In this country, all it takes to justify assaulting a woman is to label her a lesbian. Lmao, you must be joking. Take all the good men, marry them, more for you. As I said, I’m building a lesbian-centered world, no exceptions,” she said.
She added, “It doesn’t matter if they are good or bad; in my world, they don’t matter. Advocate for women and children like this, then let’s talk. Don’t waste my time on these asinine boundary-testing conversations. I don’t care.” Temmie’s candid remarks highlight her dedication to advocating for women’s safety and creating spaces where marginalized voices can thrive in a society that often ignores them.
