Post must have software in this thread.

I'll get started.

Transmission, the only BitTorrent client anyone should ever consider using. It's no nonsense and straight to the point.
VLC, easily the best video player out there.
Firefox + uBlock Origin is a match made in heaven.
JetBrains IDEs for coding, I'm in love with IntelliJ, CLion, PyCharm and PHPStorm. They're easily the best IDEs out there.
Thunderbird for email client on desktop and K9 Mail for Android. While we're on the topic of email, cock.li is a great email provider and Vincent Canfield is based.
Telegram for private messaging, it's run by based Russian oligarchs.
Mullvad is probably the best VPN out there right now, until it gets bought by some shady fucks in the near future like every VPN host does.

Firefox and ublock origin are absolutely amazing together, but I've been using another extension on top of it.

And well, holy shit, sponsorblock might legitimately be the best extension for youtube. No more fucking raid shadow legends, it just automatically skips almost all sponsors.

It's not really necessary, but I quite like f.lux. It's supposed to sort of mimic the rising/setting of the sun with your screen, basically, and I find it easy on my eyes late at night.

  • Element if you want something like Discord, but secure.
  • StandardNotes if you want something like Evernote, but secure.
    • Joplin is also great, but you need to set up your own server or have it sync to services that are less than ideal (i.e. Dropbox or Google Drive).
  • ProtonVPN and IVPN are also great VPNs.

I assume you need that amount of secruity with all the gay porn you are consuming.
