Not necessarily. I'd say the delineation is the focus. When women write about sex, they focus on the emotional aspect, the feelings that actions evoke for them. Men write about the carnal aspect, the actions themselves, more what's happening than how it makes them feel (not elaborating past "good" or other such simple descriptors of feelings).
