I feel sad for Alan honestly, I mean he is definitely a sperg but his dad seems to be a typical irrational arrogant boomer and he likely holds the responsibility of what Alan has become.
I'm not a fan of holding parents responsible for what becomes of their autistic man-children. You do shit that every other parent does, like buy your kid a gameboy or whatever, but unlike all the other kids your kid starts becomes obsessed with Sonic or Pokemon or some shit, but he's only 6 and all the kids are pretty into that sort of thing, you think to yourself, he'll grow out of it, it's just a phase...
But then your kid is 13, or 14, or 15 and you notice he's more interested in video games than the things you remember doing when you were his age, but then you remember that pong didn't come out until 1972 and you were born in 1952 so maybe it's just a sign of the times, other kids his age still play video games you think to yourself.
But then he's 18 to 21 and you notice that the neighbor kid is moving out to go to college and your son is still playing pokemon and then it starts to sink in so you try talking to him about getting a job and you can tell he doesn't really understand but he agrees with you; so you ask him periodically how the job hunt is going not really knowing that your speschul boi forgot about your conversation about 5 minutes after you stopped talking 8 months ago and has no idea why you keep bringing up a job hunt to him but he says "oh yeah it's going good dad"
Fast forward another 10-15 years of this, and your son is a butt-fucking communist faggot who resents you for being a working class guy who struggled every day to save up enough money to get him a gameboy and toys and all the other things that made him so happy for all those years for the sole reason of making him happy because that's just what parents do
and instead of appreciation your fat, potato headed man-child of a son calls you a bourgeois scumbag for asking him to take out the garbage or putting any reasonable expectations on him to act like a fucking adult because you're 70 years old now and you know you're going to die soon and your fat retarded son is going to end up getting buttfucked in a group home by crooked wranglers or some shit and you just don't understand where it all went wrong.

I don't necessarily disagree with that, I just think with people like Alan whose retardation is subtle by the time parents realized they fucked up throwing the kid out to figure it out on their own would just end up with them being homeless bums and dying in the gutter.
The whole "throw them out of the house" tactic worked in the boomer generation because everyone had irl friends they they knew from school and hung out with all the time, I think the point of chucking kids out is to show them how hard it is to make it on their own so they'll appreciate how much easier they have it at home.
I believe my grandfather kicked my aunt out of the house at 17 and she stayed with a friend for about a month until the parents expected rent from her, and she couldn't find a job and she begged my grandfather to let her come home That sort of shit works. I don't know if throwing people like Chris or Alan out would fix them unless the point is just to exile them from the family.
