I used to be a regular in the Bossmanjack thread and the Keno Casino chat back when I was still on Kiwifarms.

At first, it was hilarious to see Bossmanjack lose hundreds of thousands of dollars, punch holes in the wall, and break his equipment in crack-induced rage. He gets old really fast though because that's literally all he does for years at a time.

I think the reason why BMJ is popular, outside of everyone on Kiwifarms being a NPC who gets all their opinions from Null, is because his thread and chat is one of the only areas of the site that isn't filled with constant moralfagging. BMJ is a vaguely Trump-supporting cisgender white male who doesn't watch anime and, judging by his leaked porn history, faps to normal porn. He's in none of the demographics that Kiwifarms obsessively seethes over, so his threads have a positive atmosphere and actually talk about the content rather than every post being some variation of "REEEEEEEEEEEE HE'S A NIGGER/TRANNY/PEDO/COMMIE/GOONER/INCEL/TRANIME FAN!!!!!"

On that note there was once a topic called "Why Does Anime Always Get Caught in the Middle?" which is interesting reading.

If Kiwis had any self-awareness, then anyone who had read that topic would stop trying to make anime a tool of the enemy.

Mormons are pretty infamous for being very arrogant at times and this shows it. Not as bad as say Christian nationalists but Mormons are pretty high up there where they think the universe revolves around them.

To be fair, literately every religious institution in the world does have an incentive to keep their houses of worship in pristine condition. But not every religion is created equal. Some religious institutions (like the Vatican and Buddhism and Hinduism) keep some of their most well known houses of worship in mint condition due to cultural and spiritual reasons. Other religious institutions treat their houses of worship mostly as business assets and I think the Mormon church fits this more because the Mormon church runs more like an MLM business than an actual religious institution.

The Mormon church has much more in common with the Church of Scientology and grifter megachurch pastors than it does with other branches of Christianity. Many of their temples are designed to be grand and fancy on purpose because they want to create the illusion of power and many of their temples have gift shops and church programs that are designed to sucker as much money out of their members as possible which is similar to how Scientology makes their money.

Other churches do have merchandise sales too but in the churches that I've personally been to they often make this is temporary and not a permanent feature of a church because having a permanent gift shop inside your local church goes against what Jesus said about turning your house of worship into a business.

The Mormon Church runs like a megachurch on steroids with an MLM business model where it is well documented that many of their houses of worship have gift shops and predatory church programs that are designed to sucker money out of their members (basically loot boxes with Jesus slapped on them) and they put pressure on members that just turned 18 years old to work for peanuts to do missionary work (so it's no different to how a white farmer in the U.S. hires illegal immigrants and green card holders to do backbreaking labor for cheap). Mormon missionaries are not paid in the traditional sense and they are treated like children where they are given an allowance and they are restricted to how they can spend their money which is a common feature in cults where they control your finances to discourage you from defecting away from an organization

The Mormon Church already fulfills one of the BITE model criteria that states that an organization is probably a cult if the organization controls your money and financially exploits you for their own gain.
