Even in the case where this is true they're still biologically the sex they were born as, so treating it shouldn't include transitions unless we should start treating anorexia with dieting since that too is a body dysphoria. As is people with that condition that makes them want to amputate a limb. Which some people do get removed. And I think that's stupid of them too. There is also "intersex", which is a physical deformity and mutation. That can be corrected and it's not really trooning out. Just a corrective surgery. Another low percentage that is not the majority.

If having them dress as a woman (or cutting boobs) somehow makes them less suicidal and more contributory to the society, go for it, but the government should be stringent about it and mandate every possible non surgical methods such as therapies or counseling.
