This has been overdue for a thread because there are several lolcows in this . I am not sure how they are doing as of date but I would at least applaud them for taking the initiative for making an honest effort with a self-supporting business. Alpaca fleece is worth as much as $10/pound and each Alpaca can yield between 5-10 pounds of wool per year.
However, rovings can sell for as much as $50-$75/pound and yarns can sell for as much as $150/pound. Keep in mind that one pound of raw fleece can make as much as 10 miles of yarn; and 1 pound of wool roughly = one pound of yarn.

Yarn spinning isn't exactly complicated, people have been doing this since around 2000BC.

According to this article The Tranch houses as many as 180 Alpacas.

Even if they chose not to process any of the raw fleece themselves, this would still be enough to generate as much as $13,500/y in revenue

Spinning wheels cost between $500-$2000, which is a bit of an investment for people who have to eBeg for equipment, but just to put it into perspective; even low quality spinning wheels can produce around 180 yards of yarn per hour; or around 1 mile of yarn per 10 hours of labour or, roughly 2-3 pounds of yarn.

TL;DR, if Jerrod weren't busy neglecting his alpacas to death, and if Kevin weren't busy tweeting 24/7 they could be making around a thousand dollars per day processing their raw fleece into yarn and then they wouldn't need to beg for money for a work truck lmao.

Not that anyone wants to help them anyway, they've raised less than 5% of their goal since January of this year.

The past few months, there’s been some developments, but it seems like everything is going by by now. It’s funny how the downfall of the ranch was not kiwi farms, or the elusive earl but a woman’s pussy.

I been lurking on the KiwiFarms since 2019. I was on kiwi farms for an anime top story about a voice actor, enough about that later however, one day, there was a top story on a certain someone.

Kevin Gibbs is an interesting sort. Kevin grew up in a normal environment the awkward boy as it were. Kevin has a sister and a mother. His father died when he was young. Kevin was an artist and he sold pictures at the Artist Alley in different conventions. He had a girlfriend and they became engaged. The girlfriend became pregnant and Kevin chose to have an abortion. Sometime later after they broke up. The girlfriend married Kevin’s then roommate. According to Kevin they’re happily married and it was for the best. That lady doge a bullet

Kevin met the love of his life Penny. they lived in Penny‘s parents basement for a time. At some point they met up with another Bonnie and set up the alpaca ranch.

There is much I can say about Kevin but more so I pity the man. This post is not my focus on how I think of Kevin but more, so the home he once called.

The Tenacious unicorn ranch.

At first, the ranch was more of an afterthought .of course the kiwi farmers posted stuff from the Twitter and website of the ranch. Nothing was special about it and as far as anybody concerned. The only weirdo of the group was Kevin, it wasn’t until people noticed pictures of the animals that something didn’t seem quite right. The animals didn’t look like they were in a healthy environment. The ranch look more rundown, and then people started to question how raising an alpaca worked. That’s one other people started to question the rest of the group.

There were two main players, Penny, and Bonnie. These two Trans women run a transgender only ranch. They claim it was for a safe haven from people being persecuted. They had many alpaca, and they were going to sell the Alpaca fur and help with the transgender folk .on the surface it seems like a good idea to do. The ranch was even featured on a few TV news interviews.

Interesting it was not all rainbows and unicorns. When people start to talk about the ranch, things started to show its cracks. People outside of the ranch and I mean non-farmers question the legitimacy of the fur. Both Penny and Bonnie dismissed it as bad publicity, bad faith, and overall just got angry.

That’s when I think people start worrying about the animals.

However, all hell broke loose March 2021. When the ranch came under fire and Penny and Bonnie claimed that they were being persecuted and they were going to get killed. That’s when a thread about them was on kiwi farms.

And that’s when the true nature of Penny and Bonnie came around and it seems pretty much that they have a military style mind. And their mental health was just as bad as Kevin is. Penny and Bonnie have blamed the Kiwi, farmers of inciting a siege and violence. When people outside the ranch questioned why no one went to the cops or law-enforcement was not called to the scene or investigated. Both Bonnie and Penny claimed that they were persecuted Trans genders, and the cops would not care or not to trust the cops.

There was a go fund created and it generated about $150,000. People still question of whether or not the Ranch got the death threats, and was in danger as much as it claimed it was. Time passed, and things die down.

Enter Kevin again Kevin got the bright idea that the ranch should get out more, and that since most of the ranchers are furries that they should go to a furry con. And that’s when it all went downhill you see there was this person name Kindness .she had or has mental health issues. What mental health issues she has I do not know that still being debated but she does have mental health issues. She contact the ranch and goes over there to hang out. One thing leads to another, and Twitter post reveal that Bonnie and kindness hooked up. They didn’t just hook up. They decided to become a couple. The ranch was not happy about it because no one believed kindness stories that woman Kindness has interesting stories to tell .in the end, Bonnie and Penny broke up. their business partnership have has been severed. Because a real woman came in with a real pussy. As it turned out Bonnie’s name is on the mortgage loan. Bonnie owns the ranch so in the end because of a real woman it all went to shit.

The ranch has been more or less a negative representation of the Trans community. And I am for one glad to see the doors are closing. It was sad to see how many of the animals they had were suffering because they didn’t just have a clue on how to take care of them. They had goats, lambs birds. They had dozens of dogs and maybe two dozen cats. I may be exaggerating how many animals they hurt, but they have a lot of animals and their house was never clean, there was always junk in the backyard they could’ve cleaned up, they couldn’t go and get help. They could’ve done this or that to make their lives better but they didn’t instead in the end they were just stubborn men who didn’t listen. I do hope that some type of law-enforcement agency investigates the land because clearly something is not going to sit right somewhere when the land is re-sold. Because having a pit of that many dead animals on it, it’s going to show something bad. They should be fined or thrown in jail or something.
