This post concerns the claim that Keffals defrauded his GoFundMe donors by promising to use their donations to sue the London. Ontario Police Department over alleged transphobia during his arrest.
Youtuber Destiny wrote about the alleged fraud in his "Keffals Manifesto" on his substrack blog titled "Keffals: A Case Study on Internet Terrorism and Mass Media Manipulation":
Destiny initially privated the VOD where he read the above Substack article in full, but eventually released it as a separate video that now has 635k+ views. A mirror is available here, but it's behind an age-wall.

As far as I can tell, the first person on Twitter who began tweeting at Keffals demanding her money back was this woman "Riy0" here:
Keffals insisted that he really was going to sue, that he had hired two lawyers to prepare a civil suit for him, and even posted (but quickly deleted) a copy of a letter from a lawyer... however, upon closer inspection that letter said nothing about suing the London, Ontario police and only listed KiwiFarms as a possible party:
Several people at the time, including Destiny. predicted that there wouldn't be a lawsuit against the London, Ontario Police Department, and they all got their cookie in the end for being right. To this date no lawsuit has been filed and thus the GoFundMe donation did not go towards the stated goal and purpose.
The London, Ontario police in their public statement (where they denied misgendering and transphobia) said something to the effect that they already had Keffals on file as Lucas Roberts due to him already having a criminal record with them under his deadname. Could his hatred of the London, Ontario police have something to do with him having been arrested in the past and having a grudge against them? Could he have transitioned because he wanted to evade his criminal record catching up with him? KF is filled with countless examples of people trooning out and changing their names to hide their criminal records, so was this more of the same?
AFAIK, no one currently knows where the London, Ontario police currently are with investigating the mass-shooting threat and the impersonator that led to Keffals being home-raided. Are the London, Ontario Police still investigating that incident? Did they find and arrest the guy? Did they just throw their hands up and saying, "we don't know who did it & we have no way of finding out"? Is the investigation closed? No one knows.
NGL, I did at one point seriously consider sending a (Canadian equivalent of a) FOIA request to the London, Ontario Police to find out if they actually caught the guy. I would imagine AltisticRight would wanna know who the actual perpetrator was too?

While #DropKiwiFarms was still ongoing, Enny also visited Twitch Con 2022 together with Keffals and Ellen Murray, and showed up on a couple of Livestreams together with Keffals:
Actually, Keffals openly and loudly used KiwiFarms tactics during #DropKiwiFarms. He not only praised the hacking of KF, he threatened to use any personal data that was obtained during that hack to target KF users IRL. Keffals later deleted those tweets to cover up, but the internet never forgets:

I think this is what pisses me off the most with KiwiFarms versus the other folk. The other folk, don’t realize that kiwi farms will kill their own off how many times have users on KiwiFarms have been doxed just from the farms site. It really grinds my gears how some people cannot self reflect on the ongoing problem. The reason why the kiwi Dox people well the major reason. is because people are too damn open about their personal opinions and information on the Internet.
When I was young and Internet was young, but yet it wasn’t as much of a wilderness as it was before I was taught in school not to give out personal information. Yes, you can voice your opinions, but don’t be so specific about them. There’s a reason why people have identity theft on the Internet .I mean the other folks especially the major cows on the site just be grateful. KiwiFarms hasn’t signed everybody up (they’re precious cows )for porn magazines, or informed the government that they are a drug cartel yet because they have enough personal information. it is one of the reasons why I say KiwiFarms is neither your friend or your enemy.

It's true that most people overshare on the internet and have bad online hygiene habits overall, but not everyone can or wants to be Anonymous online. Public figures are public figures because they have decided to share aspects of themselves that most people prefer to keep private. In fact, in a way we as a society award them for putting themselves out there. The problem is that social media incentivize people who would have otherwise been private to make themselves public and overshare. The platforms themselves award bad internet hygiene.
To be fair, most of the most profitable identity theft on the internet isn't due to individual people sharing their personal information. It's due to large databases with millions of very detailed customers/user data profiles getting hacked or being inadvertently leaked. I don't know if you are familiar with the concept of the digital Dopperganger. This means that even someone with the most thorough internet hygiene is ultimately as the mercy of some large website/platform with a huge data farm of users' data. The users just have to trust these sites to secure to prevent a massive data-leak. There is really nothing an individual user can do to prevent those kinds of mega-leaks. No one really gives a fuck about 4000 KF users' data getting leaked because it's such a small number of users. On the other hand, when there's a mega-leak at Instagram or Gmail or some other site with millions of users (think of a bank, a hospital or an insurance company), that's what the cybercriminals are really after.
Well, where there is supply, there is demand. We can look at the people who have a thread and ask what they did to warrant that, but we can also look at all the people who browse those threads and place value in what they read there, people who choose to uncritically believe everything they read on KF because of KF's reputation of being a repository of "forbidden knowledge". Back when I was still on KF, I would often joke that KF is like The Trans Herald of the online trans community. I would often highlight the hypocrisy of trans people on the one hand hating KF and wanting to take it down, but then also doing a 180 and using KF themselves to do research on trans people they either stanned or wanted to cancel. A couple of detransitioners openly stated that the reason they started reading KF was because the trans community told them not to. When you tell people not to look at something, you make it valuable and covetable. Censorship, voluntary or imposed, is a form of artificial scarcity that inflates the value of a piece of information by limiting the number of people that have access to it.
