Joining The Marines

Shows how Americans have become too retarded these days compared to our ancestors. They just rather sit at home, fart and play Call of Duty. Us retarded Canucks even provide refuge for those who refuse to enlist in the Vietnam War. It's an indicator of how retarded Americans are becoming.

BECOMING?

(Space man holding a gun) Always has been.

That's the entire first world though, baby. America, Canada, England, basically anywhere that life isn't a struggle. America specifically has been cruising since after the depression. I'm not talking about the wars that people have went through obviously, but the society in general has been living LARGE since the beginning of Truman's America.

The last good generation legitimately was people born on or right before the 1920s. Those people knew what hard times were. They ate out of trash cans during the depression, didn't have anywhere to flee to dodge the draft EXCEPT Europe or Japan to fight the axis, and lived in a dog eat dog world. But strong men create weak times.

And that's exactly what the Western world has been living off of for GENERATIONS. Everyone has had it soft and easy and we think hardship now is the fucking WiFi going down for a couple of days.

The reality of it is, the absolute joke of it is @Bear Hammer after you come home, when you've got your discharge and especially if you've seen combat... go read reddit for a couple of hours. Then the absolute fucking HORROR will slowly creep into your mind and you will have the sickening realization that you were dodging rifle fire and IEDs to protect these fucking people. And these fat little creatures with soft underbellies that are chronically online not only expect to be living in a world like this where everything is handed to them in perpetuity, they still have the balls to say fuck this country.

Who would have thought that literally a hundred years of people living like fucking royalty would have made us weak, stupid and entitled?

I get what you’re saying, and I honestly don’t even know if I’d ever see combat, especially since we are in peacetime right now, if I even do a combat related job, and how scary my waiver stack is.

But even if I would have to go into combat, I'm fine doing hard, thankless work so that others can live soft. That's literally part of the deal with joining the military. I think what people miss is that saying "fuck veterans" or "fuck America" is also part of what makes this country great. That you can say that and not be disappeared or sent to a labor camp, and still enjoy the comfort and safety people like you (and hopefully someday me :optimistic: ) are willing to preserve, even if it pisses us off.

The comfort they mock is exactly what is needed to be defended, and they don't even realize it.

Yeah but here's the scary part dude: all them boys in the American Army we're training with wooden rifles cuz they didn't even have enough to go around. The military budget wasn't that big back then because we we're in peacetime.

Then bam. Pearl harbor. You have to be ready for it at a moment's notice is all I'm saying. And last time I checked we had a lot of enemies and there was a lot of wars going on around the world that we had our fingers in.

Well yeah but I'm also happy that I defended my right to be like "fuck these rodents, they don't deserve the life that this country provides them"

The comfort they mock is exactly what is needed to be defended, and they don't even realize it.

I feel like that comfort should be taken away, or earned. These people have been pampered for so long they never learn to appreciate it.
