Do you want to have kids?

Bear Hammer

More bear than man, more hammer than tool.
Hellovan Onion
Personally, I wouldn’t. The idea of having a child with a severe disability like very low functioning autism is something I couldn't mentally or emotionally handle. I know it’s taboo to admit, but if my kid couldn't ever live independently, talk to me normally, have friends, get a job, or experience anything close to a normal life, I wouldn’t feel like I had the same experience of parenthood that most people do.

People always say "you’ll love them anyway" but I don’t think it’s fair to bring a life into this world if the potential outcome is that level of suffering or dependence. That's not the kind of parent I want to be, and I don't think everyone should have kids if they’re not willing to take on that risk.

Curious to what others think. Would you still want kids knowing there’s a chance you might never really connect with them in a typical way? Or is that a risk you think is worth it?

If I would have known how awful society would have become in the last decade, and how bleak this world turned out to be... I probably wouldn't have had kids.

But once you open Pandora's box it's not exactly like you can close it lol.

I knocked up a girl when I was 16 and my parents were way too old school Catholic to even DISCUSS abortion, so me and my first wife were married and had a kid when we were still in high school.

I definitely regret being married (and being married again, and hopefully I won't regret this one) but I don't regret having my kids because at least I raised them in a way to where they got the best parts of me and the best parts of their mother. They are critical and independent thinkers, and all three of them are in a really good spot. That's really all you can ask for in this horrible year of our lord, 2025.

I hope that we didn't see any of the best parts of you here, otherwise I don't have hopes for your kids

Obviously this isn't me, are you out of your fucking MIND? 😂

The internet should only be used for four things: pornography, looking up stuff that you don't know, watching movies and videos, and using it as an outlet to be the most insane horrible version of a human being that you can be.

I would never act like this in real life. Nobody would. If they did they would be in a fucking lunatic asylum.

You could add online gaming and ordering stuff to the list, but yeah. There is a reason why people act differently online than irl. Like this meme for instance.

Gaming yes but other than a few exceptions I don't think people should be ordering a lot of stuff online. We are killing our communities and small businesses by just buying everything off Amazon. I remember when Walmart was the big problem and now it's online ordering.

Seriously though. Can you imagine the kind of sociopath it would take in real life to act the way I or others do on this message board?

Fuck a grain, you need to take what people say on the internet with an entire deer salt lick.

That's what trips me out so hard about Ashley. Like THEY KNOW WHO YOU ARE, why and how are you continuing to say and do such crazy shit under your real name? Do you have any idea how fucked I would be if I had to put my real name on the out of pocket shit I've said on this message board even as a joke? It would be game over for my ass 🤣

I mean for shit that would be impossible to buy otherwise. Shit that you would need to travel the world to get if it were a hundred years ago. Nowadays you can order stuff online you would have to visit other countries for. There is also highly specific unique shit that can't be obtained in stores and can only be gotten online. You wouldn't be able to get it unless you order it online. I am the same way, if I can just buy it around where I live I will. But I have to order stuff online more than I would like to. So I consider that an invaluable part of the Internet. Just for pragmatism alone.

It's hard to tell joke from actual opinion these days. What used to be parody is what people actually think now.

That is why I never reveal any information that can be tracked back to me.

Reason: Something something savvy something something won't catch me slippin' something something never reveal your power level

I guess because I was born in the '80s I was always under the default impression that EVERYTHING said and done online wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

But one day I woke up and the internet became a cornucopia of oversharing, political horse shit, degenerates and gross people enabling each other to be gross.

What was once the beautiful symphony of the trolls became the shrill harpy-like autistic shrieks of the social media fiends. Once Zuck face came along with his Facebook and fucked up the church's money, the online experience has never been the same.

Like I always say, for every truth you tell, tell three lies on the internet. That way even if you say something legitimate, it's buried within bullshit.

People in the online world are to be treated like mushrooms. Give them shit and keep them in the dark.
