Recently, the Nigerian Afrobeats Superstar, David Adeleke, also known as Davido has been accused of failing to settle a debt. Blessing CEO's boyfriend, popularly known as a Nigerian car dealer, IVD Autos, had revealed that Davido still owes him a total of 5.5 million Naira for a car he purchased last year.
However, in 2023, it was recalled that Blessing CEO had called out Davido, accusing him of owing a debt, but IVD denied the claim, stating that Davido had cleared the payment, apologizing for not providing feedback after addressing the full details of the deal. But surprisingly, in an audio recording online, IVD demanded a balance for the debt of 5.5 million Naira for a Venza 2021 car Davido bought for his aide- Israel DMW.
He said Davido made a down payment of 1 million Naira but never balanced it up, despite his constant reaching out upon which Davido always asked for his account number but never paid up.

During an open conversation with content creator Darryl, the award-winning artist mentioned that if music hadn’t propelled him to worldwide fame, he would have pursued a career in film production — a dream he is now actively chasing.
“I studied business marketing, so I’d still be involved in entertainment, just more behind the scenes,” Davido explained in the interview.
The globally influential ‘Unavailable’ singer is preparing to leave his mark on the movie industry by investing in multiple film projects this year. He acknowledged acclaimed video director Dammy Twitch as a vital partner in turning some of these concepts into reality.
“We have several series and ideas in the pipeline. I’m putting money into a few films this year,” Davido announced. “The African film sector is currently struggling financially, so we’re definitely addressing that. There’s enormous potential.”

International Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, recently revealed a dramatic episode from his youth when Nigerian security forces were deployed to track him down after he ran away to pursue his music career.
On the American podcast Bagfuel Brigade, Davido recounted how he secretly built a recording studio inside his billionaire father Dr. Deji Adeleke’s massive 16-bedroom home. Living alone there—after losing his mother and with siblings abroad—he spent his days immersed in music. “I had a full studio in the house, and my dad had no idea,” he said. “I would just make music and smoke there.”
