Violence against anyone is wrong and only deepens divisions. High-profile right-wingers will just put more glass in front of themselves while speaking to the public after Kirk, but that doesn’t address anything. Them trying to portray isolated violence as a coordinated movement would obviously be misleading. Broad crackdowns on left-wing organizations have already basically broken left-wing organizations since FDR and Wilson systemically oppressed left-wing orgs. Such orgs haven't recovered since then.

He was active in the political process, was incredibly close to the most powerful people in the world, and engaged in political violence when he tried to bail out the attempted Pelosi assassin while Pelosi was in the ICU. That's more than just a guy with opinions. He didn't deserve to die, but he was not just a guy who argued with college students.
