Our user base isn't that big and there's no real advertising. People go inactive as often as they join. Same number of active participants at any given time despite the total user growth. So why split it up and divide us further?

Because lolcow forums by their nature are controversial. Make Onionfarms famiy friendly? It would kill the forum. Lolcow forums and family friendly forums just don't mix. Trust me: I've been down that road before.

you have got to realize you have no audience from this those are people with power their readers are older and use twitter most likely but whats your audience your audience is most likely mainly zoomers and people in their 30s who got banned from kiwifarms for being to edgy or dumb these people are not interested in a safe for work political forum they are the types to get in trouble for fedposting like @SIGSEGV not the types to read a boring magazine so this has no hope of success its gonna be the CNN + of forums

I think you would be better in content generation than a mod.
 
I am extensively prepping Onionfarms.net working with an outside developer and this time I am doing it right. The outside developer is an active member of the MyBB Community and does technical work for the MyBB forum community. I have been in touch with my developer and we will get the coding and the plugin installation I ordered done in a few days.

I am modifying the tabbed pages plugin so admins will be able to edit content on the back end.

There was an error that prevented people from registering. This is being repaired.

I am adding MyBB Messenger members will be able to message each other privately.

MyBB by default is not mobile friendly. I am addressing this by having two fully responsive, professionally developed themes added to Onionfarms.net. In addition there is a plugin that will make the default theme mobile friendly.

I also plan to add plugins for a shout box and chatrooms.

this is actually some good stuff ken i think the mobile friendly is a must and the shoutbox for people to chat in is also a good idea i also like how the themes look very good post
 
The first set of updates are finished
Registration has been fixed
MyBB Personal Messenger is installed
You can edit tabbed messages on the back end (Admins only)
Both the Dark Emerald Theme and the Responsive MyBB themes have been installed. You can select the themes you want to view the forum in by going to your UserCP clicking on Edit Options to open the Edit Options Window, then scroll to the bottom of the window till you see Board Style, select the theme you want, then click the Update Options button below this.
 
I am having second set of updates for Onionfarms.net There will be a shoutbox, page manager and live chat installed. In addition, there is now an updated MyBB default theme that is mobile responsive. There are couple of other things as well.

Here is a specific list of the plugins with the second order
1. Installation of an improved default theme with more contrast which is mobile friendly
2. A DVZ Shoutbox
3. A Simple Audio Video Embedder
4. A Page Manager
5. A plugin to accept buddy requests in private messages
6. Ajax Chat.
 
We get visits from countries that might surprise you. We are not blocked in China and do not have any active blocks by the ISPs mentioned. I am surprised we got visits from Turkmenistan. They are one of the most authoritarian countries on the planet.
