If you're talking about the music, you can disable it by adding it to your blocked element list in your browser. If you're talking about the snow. No. It can't be disabled. Merry Christmas.

How can I disable holiday styling? I can't find this option in the preferences.

How easy is it to make a troll Twitter account and get it verified? like do you just have to pay $8 or do they ask for some kind of proof of identity?

Plus Josh really really really wants his twitter unbanned and he hasn't gotten it unbanned lmao. He wrote multiple appeals and they told him to fuck off their new freeze peach-ish platform lmao. Onionbros keep winning.
He also wanted to get verified and had a meltdown on Twitter when they said no.

With the recent flap over the journalists getting banned from Twitter, Elon Musk may not be quite the free speech absolutist we once thought. I am working with staff on a Twitter alternative that will be friendly to the "farms" communities and stay committed to free speech. Yes, people from the Kiwifarms will be welcome.

I don't think free speech absolutism makes sense. In that case, the platform looks much more reasonable now.

I also read that it's tough in places like Mastodon because there are different mods per server, and they can ban you for even more trivial reasons. They might end up with many servers, few members per server, and each one wary of posting because one might post the wrong thing and can banned permanently. They'll be like echo chambers that are isolated from each other and not a lot of activity.
