I've said before that Kiwis have a hair-trigger about "wokeness" but a part of me wonders if they even actually check first, or if they just assume everything is woke?

Likewise, they like to use the term "troonslop" or instantly assume all modern creators are troons, but do they actually check to make sure?

That question actually hits close to home for me, as a friend of mine is making an RPG that he's already aware is going to be called an Undertale wannabe, but despite said friend being white, straight, and going to church every Sunday (methodist IIRC), i have the suspicion Kiwis are gonna see his game and instantly assume "troon."

I actually brought up in one thread that I could see Kiwis accusing Tolkien of being a troon, and the answer I got was "no we wouldn't, he's a Christian." But see, that goes to the "Failing the Breakfast Question" thing I mentioned in the Kiwi Tropes topic--the idea was "yeah, but what if you had never heard of Tolkien?" But they just can't imagine that. Hypothetical scenarios filter them.

thats just censors in general. because their entire benchmarks rely on their own standards . Its a part of humans, think about how people treated twilight vs how the films were. in general people are a lot like the fish not being able to see the water they're swimming in. it takes a certain IQ or at least a self awareness about yourself thats hard for people to have naturally. And in general most people don't have a need or want to look outside of themselves.

kiwifarmers are like a typical conservate who go "X year is when everything was perfect and everything after that was trash" and that means sneering at 99% of things while also never trying to find good art in the modern day or supporting it.

a great example of this was when Stonetoss pointed out the "woke" themes in Half life 2, people were fucking pissed but he's right because there was a huge belief in DEI for side characters, which is how you got black scientists and comic reliefs and ethnic love interests and all sorts of other bit parts going to guys like kevin hart back in the 2000s.

but because kiwifarmers grew up with the media its not "woke" but "based" look at Sgt. Johnson in Halo, a black dude giving orders and no one considers it woke, but if it was the modern day, kiwifarmers would point out how its some DEI fucker whos the 2nd strongest character in the game and pushing people around.

beyond that honestly its not a 90%+ white world like it was in the 1900s. So its not too out of the question for an enlisted soldier to not be white like a kiwifarmer would assume everyone must be in the military, a lot of the "interesting" parts of the world are going to be less than all white and conservative, hell by their own beliefs they very rarely "accept the call" of adventure.

like real life is more woke and odd than green reddit would like to admit. like there are normal gay people with high positions of power, like Trump's own secretary of the treasury, same thing with non-evil jews like Miller or tokens. hell even Trump's own mom is an immigrant and his paternal grandparents are immigrants, which means he has the least amount of "american" legacy of any modern president, and yet his whole thing is being anti-immigrant.

if Trump's cabinet was from a tv show about a conservative presidency, kiwifarmers would be pissed that its filled with so few straight white males with white kids and a white wife. the closest guy that fit that description that is part of the cabinet is fucking Musk, and even green reddit hates him. Like say what you will about Fuentes but in terms of optics he's right that Newsom is more along the lines of what people on the far right believe a great president will look vs JD Vance.

Of course the obvious fucking answer there is that phyisgnomy is mostly bullshit and we're basing a lot of what we believe badasses are like based on jewish made popular media. Like Patton and Teddy Roosevelt were on par with RFK jr in how bad their voices were. most serial killers are rather average looking for their day,

In my observations, it seems political extremists in general have their own version of the 'What is X?' mentally thanks to having their minds clouded by ideological purity.

For retarded progressives, they insist that transwomen are women but always ignore the obvious biological issues that show that troons are just LARPing as the opposite gender. Hence why you see so many people on the Right mocking the Left with 'What is a woman?' since many progressives are willing to throw away centuries of biology just to satisfy their egos.

The inverse is true for the Right too. For many Rightoids, many of them confuse non-traditional themes with 'Woke'. So when it comes to the Right at this point, 'What is Woke?' because it's clear a lot of Rightoids have trouble defining this too.

Is Sailor Moon woke? Is the 1984 film The Terminator woke? Is the 1979 film Alien woke? Sailor Moon is one of the most celebrated Japanese fictional works which has strong female leads and LGBT characters. The Terminator is a science fiction horror film about a cybernetic assassin from the future that goes back in time and attempts to terminate the mother of the leader of the human resistance. Alien is a film about a space crew discovering one of the most aggressive alien species in the universe with the only female of the crew being the sole survivor living to tell the tale.

You can even expand this question to the Bible itself. Is the Bible woke? So even the Bible (which is often seen as sacred to Rigthoids) also has a strong female protagonist too.

For me, Woke is like communist propaganda with the sole intention to promote progressive rhetoric on purpose. This is the keywords, 'On Purpose'. Obviously there is plenty of examples of works that fulfill the definition of Woke. High Guardian Spice was Cruncyroll's sad attempt to make their own anime and the only purpose of this "anime" was to promote progressive rhetoric. But here is the thing, not everything that has some progressive themes are Woke like High Guardian Spice was.

Progressives get rightfully mocked when they promote troon shit which is why many people often mock them with 'What is a Woman?' It's about time a similar question is asked towards those on the Right, 'What is Woke?' Because it's clear even some people on the Right have trouble defining what Woke is anyway.

for me Woke is something you can only see based on the themes, the presence of DEI people in a piece of art doesn't technically mean its woke, but they're the metaphorical brown M&Ms, you see them you know there is a much higher chance of something sus happening

More often than not, you don't need to check is a game or media is woke slop, it's usually pretty obvious without checking it out.
Anyone who thought Joker 2 was going to be anything but a dumpster fire is brainless. I didn't need to watch it to know having a gritty film about a super villains backstory involving him singing with lady gaga is a terrible, terrible, idea.
