YOU CAN'T TRUST INDIANS OR PAKISTANIS! They have no reason to do good work. Example: shit goes bad, so you want to bring legal action against them. What are you going to do, sue someone in shitskin court?

So much anti-Indian xenophobia in what's supposed to be a bug reporting thread, JFC...
Dude seriously, do you boycott a certain piece of software just because it was written by Indians?
You're gonna have to delete A LOT of apps on your smartphone if that's what you're doing.
Also, who said anything here about suing anyone? WTF?
If a certain programmer fucks up, just kick them out and get another programmer in to fix that fuck-up.
Much cheaper than a lolsuit.

Everything you typed up is wrong.
I have a deep respect for Indians. Many of them are good programmers.
That being said someone from the US or at least a naturalized person from the States needs to verify that they are decent.
This is my most out-of-left-field opinion: Indians, the men, are very disagreeable (big 5 test level). Whenever you give them an order that's dumb, they just don't do it. No argument whatsoever. It's honestly why I like Indian dudes. I do the same.

I ran into a problem trying to embed this timestamped Youtube Livestream URL:

https://www.youtube.com/live/zQ6bjk3V1e0?feature=share&t=1010

When I copy-pasted the above URL into the Media Embed input box, this was error I got said:

Oops! We ran into some problems.
The specified URL cannot be embedded as media.

It was only after I modified the URL by hand to look like a timestamp within a regular Youtube video - say, https://youtu.be/XXXXXXXXXXX?t=XXX - that I was able to embed it.

Can this be corrected somehow so I can use the actual URL without having to modify it by hand?

just copy the website address at the top of the page and paste it in and you will be able to embed the video.

But then I won't be able to link to a specific part of a Livestream. I need the time-stamp.

Livestreams are usually very long, so posting them in full when you only want to show a small part will not do.

Like I said above, the URL format for a timestamp within a Youtube Livestream used to be the same as for a regular video, but Youtube have changed the Livestream URL format itself, and XenForo apparently hasn't kept up with that change.

Hold on for a minute. Let me check.

This is kind of a workaround but it will do the job. Go to the section that you want the video to start at (in this case I chose 42.14 minutes). Right click with your mouse on the video and chose the option I have selected and embed the video directly. The video should start at the section you want. However it will still embed the full video.

OK, I'll give this suggestion a try in a test post, I will let you know how it goes.

@Sailfish I still cannot embed time-stamped Youtube Livestreams that use the new URL syntax

TheSpecifiedURLCannotBeEmbeddedAsMedia.jpg

I have to manually change this new Youtube URL syntax for time-stamps within Livestreams:

Code:
https://www.youtube.com/live/QtgLaz4Arfc?feature=share&t=560

I have to manually change it into this, which is the old Youtube URL syntax (that is still used for time-stamping regular videos, but no longer for Livestreams):

Code:
https://youtu.be/QtgLaz4Arfc?t=560

Is there a way to fix it so that that the Embed Media input field accepts the new Youtube Livestream URL syntax without rejecting it?
