It's more than $15/hour depending on where you are. As a general rule you should use the 3X rule. Your monthly income should be at least 3 times the monthly rent. $15/hour X 40 hours is $600 per week. $600 X 3.4 = $2040/month. You could probably get something in a rust-belt town such as Youngstown or Akron, Ohio.
