I miss my DCUs. Somebody told me the style has changed from the 2000s one. Some guys got to wear CCUs that were pretty much just a variant of the DCU except with little bells and whistles on them like extra pockets and stuff, but we were never important enough to get that shit.

Bro I gotta have some kind of skill for a career in the civilian world when I leave, marine infantry only teaches you how to kill your enemy, and almost no jobs want that skill. So I picked a job that I could get a skill in and also likely be able to see combat at the same time.

It makes me a little sad because my heart / ego wanted me to be a machine gunner or recon sniper, but I realized that if I go that route I would likely struggle to find a job in the civilian world.

I am not interested in mechanics or fixing shit, shop class in HS was always extremely boring to me. Shop information was my lowest score on the ASVAB.

The marine corps does not have any medics, they rely on the navy corpsman for that. If I change my mind and I want to get into the medical field I'll just go to college.

Combat correspondent is interesting to me because I already like writing articles about things I'm interested in.
