I just noticed Toji has atleast 8 pages of results in the anti-loli thread. This despite being an ardent fan (and named for a character from it) of Neon Genesis Evangelion, a series and franchise that frequently sexualizes the 14 year old girl protagonists, who he has used one of them as an avatar (Asuka) and currently has a banner containing her on his profile. He is also currently using an avatar of Lain (14 years old) from Serial Experiments Lain. While not as explicit as Evangelion, the ending of every single episode is of her lying naked. There was also a PS1 game that contained a very fanservicey shower scene (Part 1, Part 2). This game is also explicitly meant to be something akin to a waifu simulator:



There's like, 3 frequent posters I've counted so far (Toji, Welperhelper99, Ayana Otonashi) in that thread who are like this. Open fans of anime/anime games that explicitly sexualize young teenage girls (in every case, fans of these exact characters) or younger. How do they get away with this? How does nobody call them out on this? How do they themselves handle posting with people who frequently abhor anime?

Often the people who care the most about loli (like that’s all / mostly what they post about) almost always an indicator someone has something to hide. Toji moralfagging while rocking an Asuka banner and a Lain avi is classic projection. Half the people in that thread are just trying to preemptively scrub the smell off themselves before anyone connects the dots.

I watched a lot of stuff that was on adult swim growing up back in the day (cowboy bebop, Harvey birdman attorney at law, samurai champloo, brak, Inuyasha, space Ghost coast to coast) and remember evangelion. I always hated asuka, she was annoying as fuck. I didn't care much for any of the characters, in fact. But the robot fights were cool. Big O was another giant robot anime I watched. I never thought of anime as any different from regular cartoons and thought it was just different art styles like samurai jack, Dexter's lab, x men evolution, justice League, teen titans, Flintstones, Jetsons, etc. in that some are just similar or more detailed because it's made by the same people or had better funding.

He has contributed to the doujinshi works of a circle called Mutekei-Fire, under the pen name AB.

If you google this name, you will it overwhelmingly produces lolicon hentai. To the best of my knowledge, he hasn't drawn hentai at all and nothing more explicit than the Lain ED, but he has repeatedly contributed art to their publications, such as here (warning, nothing explicit on this page, but this is from a loli hentai doujin) and here. He at the least does not find this content particularly objectionable or associating with people who produce it.

Evangelion is a mainstream anime, and with how neurotic people are about this stuff now, there is a vast number who've convinced themselves this stuff is all just meant to be "ironic" or a "deconstruction" or "showing you how bad it is by being indistinguishable from what it's supposedly critiquing." This thinking isn't that new ("Hideaki Anno hates fanservice and otaku and definitely isn't a weird perverted sperg" goes back many years), but it seems to be the default cope for people who'd otherwise dismiss any series featuring the same content as child porn.

Daily reminder that according to general opinion (which is also prevailent on kiwi) you can't groom an adult person because they are not underage, you can only influence them. Which is, logically, the same thing under less provoking name and this nuance is often missed by almost everyone.
