90k people in Japan have already disappeared by doing 蒸発. There are apparently books sold in Japan that will teach you how to 蒸発. There are also private investigators in Japan who specialize in tracking down those who 蒸発. There's even an organization in Japan called the "Missing Person Search Support Association of Japan".
Maybe someone can contact some of the people featured in this documentary and pay them to investigate Neer's case? Maybe the journalist featured in the documentary, Jake Adelstein, might be convinced to look into the Neer case to see if it was a case of a foreigner attempting 蒸発? Or otherwise the journos at France 24 who made this documentary?
