Poor Gojo, he's not my favourite JJK husbando but he didn't deserve this. I guess you could consider it a weird recreation of the Prison Realm though, with menstrual blood being a stand-in for the fleshly red walls. Menstrual blood contains endometrial tissue too, so it's basically flesh.
