Pastor Macaiah Addai Acting Presiding pastor of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies located at Kumasi Adeabeba in the Ashanti Region has allegedly snatched one of his church member's wife who is currently living with him at the church's mission house at Adeabea for more than a year. Mr. Kweku Adjei said the pastor was described as using deceptive means to snatch his wife Madam Gloria Abena Amponsah.
Mr. Adjei claims he has customarily married Gloria and lived together for 21 years. The martial issues started when he and his wife joined the church when the pastor was leading another church at Kumasi Kroform. The members of the church relocated from Kroform to Adeabeba when the founder and the leader of the church passed away.
The trouble started when his wife got into a car accident and he received a call while he was in a village near the city of Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region. His wife was admitted to the hospital in Kumasi and the pastor had been visiting her to pray for her. After she recovered and was discharged he found out his wife went to his family members to initiate a divorce. When he sought assistance form church elders, the pastor told him that his wife already divorced him and that the church can no longer help him. Mr. Adjei was taken aback when he was informed that the Pastor Macaiah Addai had taken over his wife and was currently residing with him.
The pastor also told Mr. Adjei to forget about his wife's divorce issue and to consider himself lucky that he was still living because the pastor decided to only snatch his wife and not kill him according to the style of King David in the bible. The pastor confirmed that he had every right to marry Gloria Abena Amponsah. In an interview Gloria Abena Amponsah described Mr. Adjei as a wicked person who turned his back on her during her car accident.
