Computer & Internet Related Online Safety Acts and the likes.

Computer & Internet Related Discussion
Since the Online Safety Act in the United Kingdom came in to effect a few days ago. There has been talks all around the internet about how draconian the internet has become for those living in the United Kingdom where it necessitated an ID and bio metric scan to access certain parts of the internet so they could monitor any person's activity and leave their sensitive data vulnerable to security breaches. Due to this, a surge in VPN use has skyrocketed in the United Kingdom due to this.

Under the guise of "Protect the Children", the UK government has been capable of censoring things on the internet they deem as not aligning to their values or are considered offensive. It doesn't just go after porn but also goes after news stories they don't like. The United States has also been reintroducing the "Kids Online Safety Act" as a result of this and is also proposing the "Screen Act" as well. Australia and much of Europe are also implementing their own draconian system as well.

There was also a myriad of petitions in the UK signed by hundreds of thousands of people demanding the government to repeal said acts only for the UK government to respond by refusing to repeal said act and further bullshitting the public.
