At least with Dubya, old Dubya kept the facade up about him and his party being representative of "Christian Values".

Trump on the other hand? He's a product of that 1980's American machismo; Trump is from the era of America when every CEO of a company did lines of cocaine and partied hard (not exactly what anyone with a brain can call Christian Values). Rich people in the 1980's made themselves as larger than life (like Ted DiBiase back when he was a wrestler) and Trump is still like this (the movie American Psycho perfectly captured the 1980's rich guy persona that wanted to be better than everyone else).

Trump is not a Christian Values Republican, his brand of Republicanism is being the 1980's CEO he's always been. A lot of people keep forgetting that he used to be a Democrat back in the day.
