These people bitch and whine about how others' perception of the site is twisted, and then they go and do shit like this. People's thoughts on the site aren't even that out there, since nine times out of ten, the people who are invested in lolcow drama are some of the most unhinged individuals you'll ever interact with. It's a very chronically online subculture but it taught me some interesting lessons about life and internet balance. I also learned some things while I was getting into slap fights on there, and for that, I’m weirdly grateful.

If you don't figure that shit out, you'll end up being a freak, freaking out over other freaks, when you’re the one who chose to walk into a freakshow. Mad At The Internet. Literally the catchphrase of both josh's podcast and the site. This loser shit is right there in their own catchphrase.

The fundamental problem I see with lolcow culture is that it’s a subculture filled with people who can’t move on, who can’t let go, and who don’t want to face their problems, choosing instead to drown them in gossip. They leech off the mentally ill because they themselves are mentally ill. These are the people you’ll see making the same mistakes over and over again, wondering why they can’t get X or Y, asking, “Why does X or Y hate me?” There’s no way they could possibly be the problem, No, of course not. In their minds, X or Y is the problem.

And I know there are going to be some people who disagree with me on the “mentally ill” part, but think of it like this:
  • You're obsessing over someone else frequently enough that it occupies your process of thought on a constant basis to the point it starts seeping into your daily life.
  • You're obsessively archiving someone else's life and trying to play detective all the fucking time.
  • You're constantly stirring in negativity both from others and from your self.
  • You're constantly seeing a problem with something. A person, a place, a thing. So much to the point it starts negatively impacting your mindset and eventually in turn effect your behavior.
  • It's basically all of the worst aspects of the later years in the public school system combined into one place. Making it one of the most cancerous tumors of a subculture.
  • The fucking victim mentality with these people.
Is this not the seeds for BPD escapades? Is this not some of the things that can cause depression or turn into a full blown disorder if you're not careful? I understand that there is nuance to this conversation but I think the fundamentals of what I have just written still hold truth. I think it's normal to gossip to an extent and not all gossip is a bad thing. But my fucking god is it annoying when you're around that type of thing all the time. It seems fun/funny when you're online but if someone did the same in person you know people are gonna start distancing. It can negatively impact your mind in person as much as it can on the internet. It's childish to be this obsessed over someone else all the time,

Echo chambers and too safe of safe spaces. That shit artificially induce depression and depression like symptoms. Algorithms pushing extreme content and views over all else. radicalism and remuneration. It took problems that we already have had and amplifyed it.

A long, long time ago Kiwi Farms was an adjacent forum to the CWCki, which was the main website, and their subject was Chris Chan because he did funny shit. Yes, it was weird and you wouldn't tell anyone that you were using it. But it's even worse now because it stopped being about laughing and now it's just about getting mad. Everyone in that forum is consuming rage inducing content they've tailored for themselves by the truckloads daily. For as much as they claim the forum is about laughing at weirdos, the only laughing there is is gloating when something bad happens to someone they hate. It can't have a good effect on the mind to be constantly seeing and obsessing over things that make you angry.

Probably because the information was found to be public. Hence not doxxing. Most people aren't very good with their security which leads into "doxxing" it's not private once yourself publishes it.

No. They won't. Being so chronically online has ruined their perception on how things, how people, work. If I am a judge, or a member of a jury. You can go off and do your own thing, I have no problem with that. But don't be surprised when those types of things bring you bad karma and the consequences from having a gossip site to your name.

It does not matter if you stand for free speech, or that you believe in a free internet. People in general do not like that kind of behavior and at most tolerate it. Then they will either take the kinder route and distance themselves from you or tell you straight up, point and blank, to fuck off. And judging briefly from his posts, he seems it bit uncomfortable with people knowing this type of internet. He may mask it with "I believe in the free net" but in reality he just doesn't want to be bullied for being a porn addict. May be jumping a bit far here, but since it's the kiwifarms, it may not be that far off. These people seem to think they are invisible.

If I were a detective on a specific kind of case, do you know how much information I can gather on these people just from the small bits and pieces they post of their lives alone? They opened the door, you go in, you see it, you really digest it. All of these people are fundamentally are very sad. You may not know every bit of information. But you know just enough that you can piece it all together.

If anyone in the legal field worth their salt goes against and really digs into the kiwifarms, they are fucking spit roasted. But don't you dare call a spade a spade. Or a cloud white. No, no, don't you dare. I stand with the first amendment! Don't you see?
